This feature enables you to create a staff shift list. These shifts will be utilized to mark attendance on a daily basis. Note: This feature can be used only with ESSL ZK7500, PVM, and Suprema Biomini Plus 2 devices.



  • To create the shift timings. Take your mouse cursor on the Settings tab and click on the Shift List option. As soon as you click on the shift list it will direct you to the new page as shown below.



  • You’ll see all the shift timings created in the past under the highlighted red outlined rectangle.


  • Click on the Add Shift option to create the new shift timings.



  • You’ll need default selection as Regular Marking Time Based to create the new shift.


  • Fill all the shift details in the respective fields.


  • Shift Name: It’s the name of the shift. e.g. morning - 06:00 to15:00, general - 10:00 to 18:00. In case of the split shifts, you can use shift name as split shift 1 - 06:00 to 10:00 and 18:00 to 21:00 


  • Has Sub Shift: It will be Yes, only if you’re configuring a split shift. In case of the continued shift of eight or nine hours, it will be selected as No.


  • Sub Shift Name: This field will be left blank in case of the continued shift of eight or nine hours. However, in the case of the split shift, you can mention sub shift names like “Morning” and “Evening”. e.g. If your split shift’s name is split shift 1 - 06:00 to 10:00 and 18:00 to 21:00, then you’ll have two sub shift names like morning or evening.


  • Start Time: You need to mention the start time of the shift.


  • End Time: You need to mention the end time of the shift.


  • Buffer Time: You need to mention the buffer time in minutes. This time will add a buffer in the shift start time. e.g. If the shift start time is 10:00. However, you’ve mentioned the buffer time has 10 mins. Then any user who has placed the finger on the attendance device at 10:11 will be given a pop up on the computer screen to fill the late reason.


  • Select Status as Active.


  • Finally, click on the Save button.


Note: In the case of the split shift configuration. Please follow the instructions mentioned below.



  • While creating the split shift. Enter all the required information as shown in the above-mentioned slide.


  • After saving the split shift configuration. It will create the first half of the split shit and now we need to create the second half of the split shift as shown on the below slide.



  • After saving the details, you will be directed to the homepage of the shift list, you’ll see all the shifts created in this list.


  • Search for the split shift which created. And click on the Add Sub Shift button on the left side of the shift name. You’ll be redirected to the shift configuration page as shown below.



  • Now we need to create the second half of the split shift. The shift name cannot be edited.


  • Fill Sub Shift Name as Evening.


  • Enter the Start Time and End Time.


  • Mention the required Buffer Time.


  • Status as Active.


  • Click on Save.



  • After saving the changes. You’ll be redirected to the home page of the shift list. Where you’ll see the Split shift details as shown in the above slide.


FAQ’s


1. Can I edit the Shift timings after creating?

Ans: Yes, you can edit the shift timings. By clicking on the Select button on the left side of every shift name.


2. Can I change the Shift Name after creation?

Ans: No, unfortunately, you cannot edit the shift name. However, you can edit this shift name and change the status to inactive. And create a new one.
